exhibits of Clematis cultivars
Raymond Evison

Raymond's world renowned breeding programme is responsible for providing new varieties year after year. His stringent selection process not only produces varieties with interesting new flowers but also new colour combinations with the ability to flower over a longer period of time, some as long as May to October non-stop!

Raymond Evison Clematis are modern varieties bred for gardeners who want clematis that really perform.

Since he began working with clematis at the age of sixteen, Raymond J. Evison OBE has introduced more than 100 species and cultivars to gardeners worldwide. His exhibits at the Chelsea Flower Show have gained numerous Gold Medals, and in 1995 he was awarded the Royal Horticultural Society's Victoria Medal of Honour for outstanding service to British horticulture. He was made a Vice President of the RHS in 2005, a position that he still holds. Her Majesty, The Queen made him an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2000 for his services to horticulture in Guernsey.
